If you’ve jumped on the “Fifty Shades of Grey” bandwagon, don’t let what happened to my friend happen to you. She was reading this very popular book on her Nook e-reader. She left the Nook in her living room and later in the day, her 10-year old son picked it up and starting reading. Now if you haven’t heard of this book (and if you haven’t perhaps you’ve been traveling in Siberia or someplace without an internet connection) the subject matter is what you might call “racy”.
To prevent this from happening, set a passcode or password on your e-reader or tablet. Here’s how to do it in a few popular tablets and e-readers.
If your kids have their own e-reader, you may want to have them set up a passcode too (as long as they share it with you!)
